This six week course will review the elements of a good story. How to support your topic with solid resources and research, how to write intelligently, conversationally and creatively for a wide array of audiences, and how to publish your article with prestigious and/or paying publications. We will also cover online publication—how to use headers, headlines and SEO in your article to improve online visibility. These online tools are essential for almost any publication, whether a personal blog, or newspaper or magazine—most of which also publish online as well as in print. These skills set you apart from many other professional writers out there.

 

All of these skills create an invaluable formula for success through writing.  Add a patient,  experienced teacher and editor, and you are guaranteed to walk away with a final product that will bring success. Participants will walk away with 2-4 polished pieces, and a handful of publications to submit to. Interested in publishing a book? You’ll be given information on how to incorporate those finished articles. Or use them to provide credentials as a writer or expert in your field, and increase your chances of publication success.
