Blind Men Driving?
Blind Men Driving? |
When two guys, jamming together a couple times a week met a third guy, they decided they might as well start a band. Perhaps because of their humble beginnings they considered themselves the blind leading the blind, hence the name “Blind Men Driving?”
They may be driving blind but that hasn’t stopped them from playing their original tunes across Pennsylvania and New Jersey at benefit shows such as Trinity Summer Fest this weekend.
This past April they put together a benefit for the Ecumenical Food Pantry of Pike County and also played at the Willco Fire Bay benefit in June. September brings an event for diabetes, and of course this weekend’s Trinity Summer Fest is benefiting the Willco Fire Bay renters and the Branchville, NJ fire department.
“They’re doing what they love to do and helping people as well,” fan and follower Dawn Goebel said.
This Dingman’s Ferry band consists of two guitarists, Robert Scotti and Mike Cutaia who is also lead vocal, drummer Mark DeLade, Peter Goodrich on keyboard, and bassist Larry Fosmire.
Check out Blind Men Driving? this Saturday, August 16th at the Sussex County Fairgrounds from 9-10 pm and Sunday, August 17th from 6-7 pm during Trinity Summer Fest (free admission).
“What makes them different is that they try to send a good message through their songs and they like to do benefits to help people when they can, all while doing what they love…making music,” Goebel said.
