UPCOMING EVENTS Make Your Own Rain Barrel May 14 Register to learn the benefits of rain barrels, installation and maintenance for different types of rain water harvesting systems, as well as hands-on construction of a rain barrel using a 55-gallon food grade reused barrel that attendees will take home. Register > Organic Plant Sale May 20-21, 27-28 Can’t wait to get your hands dirty? We have everything you need to get your organic garden going and growing. Learn More > Vermicomposting June 4 Join us for an introductory class to vermicomposting, a.k.a. worm composting. Vermicomposting uses red wiggler worms to breakdown, digest, and transform organic material into a valuable plant amendment. Register > SPRING HAS SPRUNG AT RODALE INSTITUTE Blooming Apple Blossoms  Our North Orchard was planted in the 1980’s when Rodale Institute partnered with Cornell University to determine best practices for growing apples organically. Our orchards contain about 30 different varieties total on our farm. Join us in September for our 8th Annual Organic Apple Festival, where you can taste and purchase our organic apples for yourself! Spring Babies Along with our recently born lambs, two goats, Marigold and Clover, also became moms. We’ve welcomed five “kids” to our goat family and are expecting more soon! Iris, another Rodale Institute goat, will be giving birth at any moment now!
