with Sarah Berkman, Community Herbalist
An introductory course on the functions of the human body including the actions of herbs specific for each body system, preventative care, and basic herbal therapeutics.
This class will cover how to nourish each body system with preventative care, and medicinal plants. Each month we will study a different organ system, followed by a discussion of primary herbs and relevant therapeutic approaches for that system. At the end of the 9 months you will have a basic understanding of the possibilities offered by herbal medicine by maintaining health of the various body systems.
This course consists of two main fields of study:
Materia Medica: A beginning study of the properties and actions of specific herbs, how they work in the body, and how they they are used . Every month students will be given homework assignments and samples of herbs to experience directly.
We will cover basic treatment approaches for specific conditions. After learning how the body works and how individual herbs affect the body, we will bring the knowledge together to view how herbs can be used to re-establish balance in conditions such as colds and flu, indigestion, and chronic stress. Learn and experience Releasement breath work: a technique that can improve and uplift your entire psyche.
Releasement breathwork helps to remove old belief systems and patterns that are trapped in our subconscious. It allows old feelings that are under the surface to come up so we can better handle them in a safe and supported environment. In return, this allows us to live a more present and joyous life journey .
Kelly and Sarah will provide explanation about the workshop and will guide the group throughout the breathing portion, and remain present if anyone needs individual assistance.
Cost: $35 * Must sign up in advance so we know if we have enough participants to run the workshop. call 617-257-5951 or e-mail email@example.com
What people are saying…
” I didn’t really know what to expect and I’m so glad I came to this workshop as it was truly transformational. Kelly and her team did an amazing job of holding space and offering guidance, making me feel safe as I experienced some significant shifts during the breath work portion. The end result was a feeling of pure love and light, a shedding of my fears, few moments in my life have touched that place.” – Tammy
In this evening workshop, you will learn how this transformational
Body Work Method emerged and how Rosen touch can help undo chronic muscle tension, improve your immune system and melt barriers that were built to protect you but now interfere with possibilities for joy and intimacy.
A Rosen practitioner touches the client´s body with consciousness and compassion. Words are used to deepen and reflect the clients experience.
The intention is to help bring the client to greater awareness of what is unconsciously being blocked by the tension and the physical symptoms. Come see a demonstration & partake in guided, hands-on exercises showing the value of unconditional presence & authenticity with self and others.
